Well!!!! That was a wonderful evening, in a fantastic setting! And a really friendly and happy celebration was shared by everyone. Wine and canapes were constantly being brought round which made me thankful I'd had a meal before i arrived!!

Had a good chat with Meg Davies, my TV agent, about the new TV series proposal, and was encouraged by her views on when to strike for the best results. I got a real sense of the whole project being in safe hands. So.... I'll have to be patient.

Anyway, here's a shot of the venue. Namely the East Cloisters of Westminster Abbey. Ooer!!!!

Reception in Westminster Abbey

Just received an invitation to Andrew Lownie's (my literary agent) 25th celebratory reception. It's being held in the East Cloister of Westminster Abbey, which I have to say, sounds very impressive!

I wondered at first that the 6.00 start for a 2 hours reception was a little odd. Up here in Shrewsbury people would tend to go home from work, get changed, and then come out again to attend the function. I've come to the conclusion that in London it's altogether different. People who commute in to work wouldn't have time to go home first, so 6.00 fits in perfectly as a continuation of a working day, and the 8.00 finish means that those who commute can get home before ridiculous-o'clock.

Well that's my conclusion based on nothing more than a stab in the dark....(which, unfortunately, is what most MPs do to come up with their new policies!!! )
